What does Prairie Wedding have to do with You Are Your Voice?
I was listening to the song Prairie Wedding and struck by the voice of the great musician, Mark Knopfler, a voice that has been through over half of a century, a voice that bears years of life’s ups and downs, and a voice that accepts life as it is.
Your voice is your identity. It emerges from the very core of you, filled with your thoughts, emotions and life experiences, and broadcasts to the world everything about you, through its position, tone, resonance, energy and expression.
Having worked with so many people with their voices, I’ve heard toughness, suppression, holding back, insincerity, playfulness, as well as care, generosity, reaching out, acceptance and peace in people’s voices.
Most people are concerned of showing the world who they really are through their voice. Are you one of the most people? The only person you are fooling with is yourself. No matter how you mask your voice, people still can hear out who you are, though they may not be able to put a hand on what exactly makes the impression. Scientists have found that babies as young as six months old have already been able to detect the different intentions behind an adult’s voice, let alone us adults!
Your voice reflects your inner self and how you touch others. Does your voice reach others the way you want?

P.S. Enjoy this beautiful song: Prairie Wedding~~
