No, not by Magic, but Metaphor. I was reading the book Zen Masters of China (by Richard Bryan McDaniel). Zen masters are the masters of Metaphors. They knew metaphor clarifies complexity, creates pictures and connects with emotions. These are all the critical elements in persuasion & influence.

The next time when you want to influence people with your ideas to take action, drop the mere explanation and look for metaphors. You’ll be way more effective.
