Most people think that they have to try hard in order to project their voice.
Many of my clients tried so hard in their practices in order to project their voice.
Proper voice projection is not achieved by working hard, but just the opposite, by laying back, referring to relaxing.
This is a surprise to most people, because we live in a world where we have to work hard and try hard in order to achieve success.
The fact is that success does not have to come with tears and sweat.
Not working hard is not doing nothing.
The biggest enemy in proper voice projection is tension. Instead of getting yourself all worked up, you are going to relax the body, and the mind. When my clients blamed themselves for not getting it right, they created tension in both the mind and body.
Voice projection process is like planting a seed. You don’t make the seed grow into a tree by working harder, but by creating an environment for the seed to grow, sunshine, water, soil and fertiliser.
When you want to project your voice properly, you don’t work hard but create an environment for the breath and resonance to happen.
