Assert Yourself with Your Voice. Impossible?

I’m constantly challenged on the perspective that we can become assertive by developing our voice.

Most people think you must develop assertiveness and confidence mentally first, then the change in your voice will follow.

Are you one of those people?

This is a wrong perception and it’s time for you to be open to new perspectives.

  • What most people fail to understand, number one, is the power of the human voice.

Albert Einstein said, “Sound is at the core of creation and as such has a hidden power, a stupendous force, even bigger than the power generated by the Falls of Niagara.”

Our human voice is nothing but a form of sound.  Its hidden power once is uncovered, it can affect your life in a multitude way.

Sound is vibration and its power has been used in many fields as medicine, construction, therapy, and so on. For example, the ultra-sound, a medical imaging technique, uses high frequency sound waves and their echoes to determine the welfare of unborn babies.

Sound waves can also be sent through an iron girder to tell us about the internal structure by receiving the waves that are reflected back.

You probably have heard of sound healing. It takes advantage of the vibrations of certain sounds to restore imbalance and disharmony in your physical being, eventually your whole being (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). Note here that the certain sounds can be musical notes or your own sounds, i.e. your voice.

To find your assertive voice is to re-align yourself with your optimum sound, find your real sound and accept yourself as whom you really are.

  • The number two fact most people fail to understand is that voice development is a process.

There are often people coming to me and wanting to see immediate results and drastic changes in a short period of time. “I’m having this meeting or presentation in two weeks’ time. Let me speak with confidence and assertiveness by then.”

Although with my guidance some people will find their optimum sound in a couple of hours, to last long and make it really become part of you requires time and efforts. You first must balance yourself through proper breathing then align your physical self to the optimum sound frequency which will eventually lead you to the alignment of your whole being where you’ll start to appreciate and accept your true self.

It may sound complicated but it’s something everyone can achieve. The only question is: Are you willing to commit yourself to the time and efforts needed? Only those who are committed to themselves will experience transformations in the way they look at themselves and the way they feel about themselves.
