In the last batch of our Group Voice Coaching, the participants understood the real meaning of it. One participant realized, whenever he was under stress, his breathing and voice would be undermined. Another participant even went for a facial massage as he noticed the tension in his face has been affecting the clarity of his voice!
Any tension in your body will affect the projection of your voice. The first thing you can do is to cultivate your awareness. Tension often happens when you are under fear or anger. Fear could be anxiety, nervousness, worry, doubt, insecurity, feeling not good enough or unworthiness. Anger can show up as impatience, irritation, frustration, criticism, resentment, jealousy or bitterness. Any of the negative mental patterns will have a significant impact in your body and voice. The next time when you are under fear or anger, notice where it manifests in your body, then learn to release the tension. We cover more on releasing the tension in our upcoming Group Voice Coaching sessions.
