Many a time what stops you from moving forward is not that you lack skills or techniques.
A client was stuck in developing a more assertive voice. After the first 2 sessions, he knew exactly what to do, but he just couldn’t get his mind doing the practice. While sharing with me, he said, “I couldn’t focus. I kept on wondering if I can make it.”
When we face a challenge, 80% of the difficulty in overcoming the challenge is in the mind, only 20% is in the new skills that we need to learn in order to tackle the challenge.
It is not just a saying that “Nothing is impossible.” If you want to achieve something, you CAN make it. The first step is, you must believe you can make it. “When there’s a will, there’s a way.”
The answer to overcoming your challenges is very easy. Stop asking yourself, “Can I make it?” Ask, “How can I make it?”
